RALEIGH, N.C. — Business North Carolina magazine has named nine Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP attorneys to its 2024 Legal Elite rankings.

In Charlotte:

  • C. Wells Hall for Tax & Estate Planning
  • Brian E. Russ for Corporate
  • Noelle E. Wooten for Environmental
  • Jennifer W. Winkler as “Young Guns”

In Winston-Salem:

  • Lorin J. Lapidus for Appellate

In Raleigh:

  • Brandon S. Neuman for Litigation
  • Nathaniel J. Pencook for Litigation
  • Phillip J. Strach for Employment
  • D. Martin Warf for Appellate

According to the publication, Business North Carolina magazine sends ballot notices to every member of the North Carolina State Bar and asks them whose work they would rate among the current best in several practice areas. Attorneys are not allowed to vote for themselves. They may select members of their firms only if they pick out-of-firm lawyers in the same categories, with the latter votes weighed more heavily.
