She also briefs and argues cases pending before state and federal appellate courts.

Ginger works on a range of cases including franchise and distribution litigation, products liability matters, insurance coverage litigation, multi-claim and class action litigation, unfair and deceptive trade practices cases, real estate disputes, employment discrimination and retaliation claims, and general business litigation. She also counsels assisted living facilities regarding healthcare licensure issues.

Experience

Previous Professional Experience

  • Served as lead trial counsel in a 10-day trial held in the Hillsborough County Complex Business Litigation Division that, after post-trial motions, resulted in the client receiving a $9.1 million judgment against his former real estate development company and a $2.8 million judgment against his former business partner. The judgment was affirmed on appeal.  
  • Served as trial counsel in a five-day civil False Claims Act trial in federal district court for the Middle District of Florida. The trial court granted the client’s motion for judgment as a matter of law and entered judgment in its favor, which was affirmed by the Eleventh Circuit.
  • Obtained several defense verdicts in sexual harassment and gender discrimination cases in the Northern District of Florida federal courts.
  • Served as lead trial counsel on behalf of an automobile manufacturer in an allocation case brought in the Southern District of Florida federal court that resulted in a defense verdict.
  • Co-authored amicus briefs in U.S. Fire Ins. Co. v. J.S.U.B., Inc. 979 So2d 871 (Fla. 2007) and Auto-Owners Inc. Co. v. Pozzi Window Co., 984 So.2d 1241 (Fla. 2008).
  • Other reported decisions include: John Hall Elec. Contr., Inc. v. Allstate Constr., Inc., 917 So. 2d 310 (1st DCA 2005); Causey v. Causey, 36 So3d 893 (1st DCA 2010); Twin Oaks Villas, Ltd. v. Joel D. Smith, LLC, 79 So.3d 67 (Fla. 1st DCA 2011); Kearns v. Farmer Acquisition Co., 157 So.3d 458 (Fla. 2d DCA 2015); Garcia v. Agency for Health Care Admin., 330 So. 3d 542, 545 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 2021).
