Recognized as being a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star and selected for the Baltimore Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2022, Alex is respected for her ability to lead clients through high-stakes litigation, negotiate complex agreements, and provide sound advice to businesses regarding their most important decisions. She is known by major medical systems, urgent care centers, and real estate investment companies as a go-to attorney for advice and litigation. As a roll up your sleeves and go to work attorney who digs into the details – Alex researches the law and outthinks her adversaries, whether in deals or litigation matters.
In addition to her representation of major medical systems, Alex’s hybrid litigation and corporate practice includes representation of pharmaceutical companies, physicians, research funding organizations, and other life science companies in the areas of clinical trial research and contracting, privacy compliance, professional liability, and risk assessment and mitigation.
She has assisted life science clients in navigating the new requirements for clinical trials in the European Economic Area and compliance with the EU-Clinical Trial Regulation, as well as reviewing master service agreements, licensing agreements, and informed consent forms for clinical research being conducted around the globe.
Alex is also an experienced insurance litigator focusing on insurance coverage and extra-contractual claims and insurer “bad faith.” She represents small and large companies, investors, and entrepreneurs, whether they are building their businesses or defending them, and they appreciate that she is efficient, learns their business objectives, and moves with them at the speed of their strategic goals.
Alex is active in the charitable community in Baltimore and is a native Spanish speaker with family in Puerto Rico and El Salvador.
