Experience

  • Served as counsel in a juvenile catastrophic injury jury trial involving a rollover of an off-road vehicle, including putting a key defense expert on the stand. Jury’s defense verdict was upheld on appeal       
  • Served as second chair for a jury trial case alleging a defective medical device caused permanent injury in California state court; obtained directed verdict in favor of client, the device manufacturer
  • Served as first chair in an arbitration in Illinois to defense verdict on behalf of a company accused of mismarking utility lines, resulting in significant property damage
  • Served as second chair in an arbitration in a Florida commercial litigation case involving eight-figure allegations related to commissions owed on large-scale contracts related to international sales of turbines for power plants
  • Has served as national counsel for a medical device manufacturer, a children’s product manufacturer, and recreational vehicle manufacturer
  • Has defended a steady caseload of medical device, consumer products, off-road vehicles, and industrial equipment
  • Has developed strategy and participated in detailed inspections related to early-strategy product investigations
  • Has worked closely with clients and government regulators on reporting and advising on product recall issues
  • Represented long-term care facilities in wrongful death and personal injury claims
