Paul is co-chair of the firm’s Emerging Companies practice.  Paul’s practice focuses representing emerging and growth stage companies in corporate and financing matters, with a particular emphasis on venture capital and mergers and acquisitions transactions, in the technology, life sciences, financial, and healthcare industries from formation through exit. Additionally, Paul regularly represents venture capital firms and angel investors in their investments in technology companies. 

Paul also serves as outside general counsel to his clients, leading teams of Nelson Mullins attorneys to provide day-to-day legal and strategic advice on issues including intellectual property, software licensing and SaaS, data security and privacy, among others.  

Paul serves on the Recruiting and Selection Committee for Venture Atlanta, the Southeast’s largest venture capital conference, and served as the 2021 Chair.
