Val is a co-chair of the firm's digital transformation and outsourcing practice, and focuses her practice on end user technology as a conduit for business change, including global digital transformation, managed services, outsourcing, ERP, and other innovation-driven corporate programs. She engages as a transformation enabler and creative contract architect to guide her clients and their vendor partners through complex deal attributes, such as correlative value creation and organizational change management (OCM). Val advises global and national clients across industries such as consumer packaged goods (CPG), financial services, automotive, healthcare, entertainment, and agricultural.

Using this approach, she regularly assists clients and their prospective vendor partners in collaborative problem-solving and working through complex deal attributes such as innovation drivers, value creation, and other relationship issues that are important to get right as early in the process as possible to provide the greatest possibility of deal success.

Val is also an active participant in the sourcing industry. She participates in the EIP Masterclass on complex negotiations and enjoys sharing her experiences at industry conferences. She is also a regular guest lecturer at universities and other industry events. Val frequently returns to her alma mater, William Paterson University, to speak with students in the pre–law program and currently serves on the Dean's Advisory Board for the WPUNJ College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
