Nelson Mullins Washington, D.C. partner David Yang was recently quoted in a Law360 article on Sept. 26 about how the looming government shutdown will impact small business contractors more than ever this time around, given the strong economic headwinds that have only exacerbated the situation. Yang provides a full spectrum of representation to government contractors of all sizes at the federal, state, and local levels.
Discussing the recent decline of procurement opportunities that small businesses have with the government, Yang emphasized the importance (regardless of the size of the contractor) of documenting and timely submitting any shut down related costs for reimbursement, stating that contractors “Upon getting any kind of suspension of work order, track and document your costs, and maybe separate them into a separate bucket so that they're easier to submit."
